In high school, many of Gregory Kellogg’s peers picked up jobs at the local grocery store. Not one to follow suit, Greg went a different route and got his start in telemarketing. Since then, most of his work has revolved around the phone, whether in a sales, support, or customer service role.

Greg joined our Contact Center as a contact specialist back in 2016.  He was one of the first two people hired to answer requests for information and reach out to students. “I’m very proud of what this department has become. Seeing it from the infancy stages to what it is now, we’ve grown from two people to over 70 people in the department!”

In his time at Wiley, Greg worked his way up to new positions and different departments. He moved into the role of team lead, where he began to manage his own team of contact specialists. From there, he transferred to our Marketing Automation Team where he worked to ensure that all departments under the Wiley University Services umbrella were using our data consistently. In 2021, Greg rejoined the Contact Center as director of enrollment. “It was a role I couldn’t pass up. The Contact Center has always felt like home. Now, I can create and analyze data to help the team become more efficient, help Wiley grow, and better serve our perspective students and our partners.”

Fortunately for Greg, much of his current role is data driven. He loves that he has the chance to turn his fascination for data into a tool to help his team provide students with the best experience possible. By analyzing data, his team can track KPIs, see where they are performing well, and identify areas to improve. This ultimately enables them to help more students turn their dreams of advancing their education into reality.

Greg’s experience in the Contact Center, plus his love for learning influenced him to accept our Wiley Tuition Scholarship and pursue a master’s degree in data analytics. “When I finished my bachelor’s degree many years ago, I swore up and down that I was done with school. After interacting with prospective students and seeing their drive and motivation, I knew I wanted to go back.”

In his free time outside of Wiley, Greg likes to take day trips and explore new areas in Florida, watch sports (especially the Florida Gators), and try new restaurants. If you’re in the area and need a food recommendation, Greg has a running list of over 80 local restaurants to try. He is also an avid reader and finds peace in meditation.
