Dyamond Robinson’s passion for helping others shines through in everything they do. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida, Dyamond became a dependency case manager, working with foster children, focusing on mental health. They interned at Zebra Coalition, a place for LGBT youth to find support, and worked as a Volunteer Coordinator at the Orlando Science Center where they led community outreach programming.

Dyamond has worked with high school students, helping them find their path into higher ed. With the rise of online learning and the changing student demographics, Dyamond recognized the importance of providing guidance to learners navigating the college experience.

Dyamond joined Wiley in 2019 as an enrollment counselor. In July 2021, they moved over to our Retention department as a team lead, overseeing a number of programs at Utica University. On a typical day, they advise students, help with class registration, course planning, and offer general support to find the resources their learners need to succeed.

Of course, no two learners are the same. That’s why a big part of Dyamond’s role is to actively listen and build rapport to figure out how to better serve their students’ needs. They’re especially inspired by the big hearts of the nursing and social work students. “Everybody has a different story as to why they’re going back to school, and it feels really rewarding to be able to be there with them.”

Dyamond is an active member of our community and participates in many of our Employee Resource Groups. They are currently in their second year on the DE&I Business Council. “It’s really exciting! I got to work on our manager toolkit that we released last year, and our name change policy, so now our transgender and non-binary folks have a place to go to without having to out themselves.” Dyamond is also a member of our Pride ERG and serves on a task force to find new ways to support student success.

Outside of Wiley, Dyamond loves spending time with their partner, their 9-year-old daughter, two cats, a dog, and a snake. At home, they enjoy re-watching episodes of The Office and can often be found reading or cooking. Dyamond is also the parent to numerous plant babies and likes to get out into nature, walk around the lake, and watch the sunset.
