Higher education has always been a part of Stephanie Ridd’s life. “Just about everyone in my family has worked in higher education, and it inspired me to follow in their footsteps.” Out of high school, Stephanie attended DeVry University and earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In 2007, she joined Wiley University Services.

By working within different departments at Wiley, Stephanie has seen first-hand how everyone works together to help the learner. “I have seen how every department circles around the student and provides them with the tools and support they need to be successful in their program.”

Stephanie started as a Student Services Coordinator and soon moved into the Senior Student Services role. In 2016, she joined the Academic Services team as an Instructional Support Specialist. In this role, Stephanie works with partner schools to support faculty and maintain online courses. “I support the faculty whenever they have issues, as well as provide online LMS training, and revising courses as needed.” While her responsibilities may change per the need of each university, it keeps her interested and keeps her on her toes.

“I love working with faculty who value your opinion. You feel like you are a part of the school and a part of the team. These faculty appreciate the experience and expertise that we have. I always appreciate them.”

Stephanie has also been on the other side, as an online student herself. Thanks to her hard work, she earned the Wiley Tuition Scholarship and received her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education from Lewis University.

Outside of Wiley, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. They enjoy doing family activities, including going to Disney and Universal Studios.
